Load balance question

Hi,

Can I do load balancing using two network cards on a
single windows 2000 server? I have installed two NICs and
assigned 2 different IPs to them already. Can I group
them into 1 and provide load balancing?

Hi,

No you cannot do this. Network load balancing is designed to balance traffic
between multiple nodes, not multiple network interfaces on the same box. You
should investigate 3rd party NIC teaming software instead.

Most of the NIC Manufacturers offer adapter teaming software. We use various
ones, Broadcom, Intel & 3COM
