Live Maps for Outlook 2007 Not loading--no errors

I can't seem to get the Live Maps for Outlook plug-in working. I downloaded
and installed the most recent version, and everything appears to install ok.
No errors or strange messages during installation. I made sure that Outlook
is fully closed when installing it, then start up Outlook after it's done.
When I create a new appointment item, nothing shows up relating to Maps in
the ribbon bar (but the screenshot on thedownload page clearly shows what
should be appearing when running Outlook 2007). It's just not loading or
something. It's been several weeks now trying to figure out and I give up.

Some technical details:

- Running Outlook 2007 with Exchange server.
- Windows Vista Business
- Have no other known issues with Outlook 2007.

I've also made sure that the calendar folder is using the default
appointment form. Nothing wrong there. Help!

Is it in the office orb menu (last items on the menu) of an open appointment
form ? Did you look in tools, trust center, addins to see if its enabled?

No. It is not in the "orb" menu (I am referring to the larger round button
with office logo, inside the the Appointment item). Nor is it listed in the
Trust Center/Add-ins section. I actually looked there before, and thought it
was strange that it wasn't appearing there.

The actual installation program seems to work ok. No errors. But then it
doesn't seem to register with Outlook...

I tried to just uninstall the Live Maps plug-in alltogether, and encountered
the following 2 problems:

1) When I ran the Live Maps for Outlook setup program, it asked me if I
wanted to repair the installation, or remove. I chose "Remove". The
uninstall process started, then a message popped up saying that Outlook
encountered an error and needed to close. Please note that Outlook was FULLY
closed when I started the uninstallation process. I checked to see if the
outlook process was running in Task Manager, and it wasn't. Don't know why
Outlook crashed when it wasn't open to begin with.

2) I tried to uninstall again, and this time it appeared to work. When I
clicked "Remove", oddly I was asked to enter my Microsoft Exchange username
and password. Why? I'm trying to uninstall a program, not run Outlook. It's
lke the uninstall process causes Outlook to start which makes no sense if
I'm trying to remove a plug-in.

Anyway I finally got a successful uninstall and will try reinstalling. I'll
follow up with my process...

Likely because you use an Exchange account in your mail profile and the
uninstall needed to open the profile to make a change. Usually, you should
just be able to cancel the login dialogue.

Thanks Brian for your response. I couldn't figure it out, but I did
SUCCESSFULLY install it, finally. After uninstalling again and re-installing
(a third time, by the way) it finally worked. I didn't do anything
differently, nor was I prompted to log into the Exchange Server.

Oh well, working at least.
