Is there any other place I can get this boot file? Will the Ubuntu
boot disks have the same non-emulation booting problem for me? Are
there any advantages of Ubuntu over Knoppix? I sooooooo want to try
one of those Linux Live CDs on my laptop. Thanks in advance.
Ubuntu wouldn't boot on my laptop; their was a note in a readme that
their might be a problem booting Ubuntu on some laptops, so when the
boot hung I tried it on my desktop with no problems.
FWIW, I'm experimenting with these and my new machine ran Mepis
beautifully. My friends old machine could not run it, but responds well to
Knoppix.
