little red x's and fax files missing?

Hope someone can help.
1st: I have a cable modem and phone thru timewarner cable but can't
download with the wizard the fax files because it says it can't be found.
2nd: I can't open pic's in my yahoo email and only get the little red "x"
in the box.
Does someone know how this can be corrected?

Doesn't sound like you have a fax modem.

Hi,

Try this it works sometimes..
Start > Run > drvers
Open the folder etc....delete the host and lmhost files in there
Restart the computer and try..
