little calendar (date navigator) view not retained

In Outlook 97 (v 8.04)I have to drag the task pad border
to see the small date navigator monthly calendars, but
next time I re-enter outlook they have gone and I have to
drag the border to bring them into view again.

How can I get Outlook to remember to keep them in view?

You may try deleting TMP files (files that have a TMP
extension name). They can build up and cause the kind of
problem you are seeing. Search for all of them on your D
drive and delete as many as you can. Some may not be
allowed to be deleted which is normal.

If that doesn't change the problem, you may need to
create a new mail profile.
