Little bit of an "issue" hehe..

Howdy there.. I'm in a bit of a "pickle".

About 8-9 years ago we built our intranet application on coldfusion and
access97 through the years it was upgraded to ColdFusion MX and Access 2000,
the one person who really knew much about it is no longer 'available' I have
been able to mostly figure out how everything works and I am trying to
transition the application to CF 8 and Access 07, the problem I am running
into is there is absolutely no indication of the Admin password for access
2000 anywhere in the notes. We have the user account, etc for that
particular database.

Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to make it so I can get a
fully 'administerable' database in Access 2007 without having the Access
2000 Admin pw or are we just stuck until the thing croaks one day?

thanks,
Andy

Did you try the blank password?

There are many programs (some sold for a small fee) around here that will
give you the Admin (or any other) password. Search the Internet.

I explain almost as much as I deem prudent here:

http://groups.google.com/group/comp.databases.ms-access/msg/e80cea665762a8b4

Assume that Microsoft took the path of very least resistance in coming
up with a "new" technique that works with a database saved in Unicode.
But beware. A savvy programmer that wants to protect herself from
getting burned by you should do more than password protect the database
given the availability of password cracking software. BTW, I always
give customers the passwords to any databases I password protect. It's
not that I'm not savvy :). I also give them access to the source code,
but then again I usually only take on new Access customers who have been
referred by an existing customer in good standing or by a close friend.
