Liteon DVD writer SOHW-1653S & HP DVD+R 8X

I just bought a Liteon DVD writer SOHW-1653S bundled with a box of 10
HP DVD+R 8X.
I ripped a movie (single side) and use CloneDVD2 to burn the image
using 8X speed. CloneDVD2 has no problem burning the image but
completed DVD is not readable. Liteon writer can not even read the DVD
as the read light come on all the time. Try another time with the
speed reduced to 6X but still no joy.
Tried with a Verbatim DVD+RW and was successful.
Anyone has similar experiece with Liton SOHW-1653S & HP DVD+R?
Did I forget to adjust something obvious?
I would think that there should not be any compatibility problem as
both are bundled together for sale.

Who "bundled" the HP DVD's? The retailer, or the drive mfr.?
In any event, it seems that the drive or the bundled DVD's are bad.
(Maybe both?) I'd pay a vist to the vendor that sold you the drive.
