List or report containing hyperlinks or equivalent

Jim

I have a form in a database in which I enter titles, types and other
information about documents we reference in the office. Included in
the record for each document is the hyperlink address where a word
document (.rtf) or .pdf file of that document exists in the network.
Another form has command buttons with which I want to display these
documents in a number of ways, such as by title, proprietorship, type
and so forth. My desire is to have an alpha-numeric or numeric-alpha
filtered list or report complete with the hyperlink address present
itself when one of the command buttons (macros) is clicked. For
example, when I click the "C" button in the Search By Document Title
group, I want a list of all documents whose titles begin with "C" to
show in alphabetical order with a hyerperlink address (or equivalent)
next to it, so that by clicking on the address (or equivalent), it will
open in its own window. However, macros and hyperlink addresses cannot
be present in a report, and a query is just plain ugly and as far as I
know, cannot contain headers. Is there another way to have this
information display without using a web-based application or is a web
application the only way to go?

Thanks,

Jim
