I see Network Associates/McAfee antivirus, Symantec Ghost,
a pointer tracker for IBM laptops (tp4serv.exe) and several
other third-party processes. Any of them could be causing
your problem.

Check for updates to your antivirus software first. Also, do
you know what WDNPSVC.EXE is for? I see no reference
for it anywhere on the web or in Usenet's archives.

Yea, there are some things you can turn off. AcroRd32.exe would be a good
start.
