Hi I have 4 list boxes. I made it so the user can select more then one item
at a time. However the database isn't saving the items now. What did I do
wrong?

Emma,

Saving them where? Selction does not automatically save anything it simply
gives them the focus. Perhaps you should provide more information on what
you are trying to do?

You should also note that you posted your question to a old thread and it
may not be seen by as many people as you would like. You might want to
consider reporting with a clearing message of what you are trying to do and
in what version...

Hi Gina,

I'm using 2007. I was hoping that the select would be saved in the field.
For example Advocacy would store assisted; helped; etc in a field with
colon's or something separating them. I guess I was wrong, I just don't
understand the point of using the extended function when you can't store the
information if more then one item is selected.

Emma,

One of the reason one might use a multi-select list box is to filter a
report for printing, another would be to filter a subform's records.
Selecting something/anything does not automatically drop it into another
text box. Perhaps if you explain why you would want to do it might help to
come up with a solution that would suit your needs.
