Linux use drops by .1% !!!

  • Thread starter Thread starter DP

it droped because this is just after a new ubuntu release..

what happened was that each time ubuntu is released there is a surge of
people giving linux a try
then they see that there are not enough drivers or professional software
available for ububtu and they return to windows

thats all, there is a increase and decrease with every new release of
ububtu...

As for vista, its quality is that of a steaming pile of poo poo
the only reason you see a climb is because MS is forcing that poo poo down
the thoats of consumers who get new PC's

I guess 0.1% means that somebody formatted their drive.

ha ha ha..

ha ha ha if one user formated his vista machine the number of posts would
decrease in here by 90%...

Approximately two years after XP was released it had 42.6% market
share. Vista after a year is at 6.5%, it had better have one hell of
a second year if it is going to get even close to matching XP.

The w3schools website doesn't really show a good statistical result since
they are only monitoring their own website for the results.

The Market Share website monitors over 45,000 websites with an average of
over 160 million unique visitors per month.

This is the link to the free statistics pages, you can get a much more
detailed set of stats with a paid account.

Why? You got money riding on it?

Sorry Frank let me spell it out for you. VISTA sucks and is not being
implemented on any significant scale.

Duh! It was light years ahead of 98/Me.

Well, duh again. Vista is a lame attempt at XP SE.

It does amaze me, though, that MS is improving XP with SP3. That won't
help Vista much.

hahaha...yeah right...let me spell it out for you...100 million Vista
users is significant on anyone's scale.
That you think Vista "sucks" is your opinion and your problem.
Obviously, you're in the very small and insignificant minority.

You are a non-Vista user. An MS hating lying linux troll.

You're really not all that bright are you?

Frank, I'm going to have to buy you dictionary. The OP cited a site
that identifes usage (i.e. implemented).

Frank I know you'll never let a good story get in the way of facts but
the the 100 million number you cited is not "users", but sales. Dell
ships a PC it counts as a Vista sale, even though record numbers of
corporate and home users are downgrading to XP. Frankly, Frank, more
users are opting out of Vista than any other OS in the history of
personal computing. I've seen informal estimates in the 50% range.

Back to my original point, I'll bet you that Vista will not achieve a
42.6% market share by this time next year. Surely such a great step
forward will from MS can out perform XP, right Frank?

The date and time was 1/10/2008 5:37 PM, and on a whim, Frank pounded
out on the keyboard:

Actually Frank, it's you and your Vista that's the minority. I'm sure
that's why you still have what, three(?) other OS's in use?

Bullsh*t! Go any actual statistical data to back up your claim rather
than just spewing your Vista antidotal hate data?
Well...?

Market share of what?

By when? You seem to have a vested interest in seeing your scenario come
true. Why is it so important to you?
Crushed ego maybe?

Frank you are such an idiot, never let the facts get in the way of a
good story. I didn't make the stats up, merely quoted them.
