We just installed a Linksys 2.4 ghz G router and for some reason it will let us access some websites but others say cannot connect. Is there some type of security/enable function to use to correct this? Thanks!
Look somewhere else; most simple SOHO routers do not have the
ability to discriminate between websites, so a given PC can
either get to no websites (except for LAN sites) or to all.
It may be that your ISP checks your MAC address, and expects the
MAC address of your PC instead of the router's WANside MAC address.
If that's the problem, you might be able to get to websites on
your ISP, but nothing beyond that.
Check your DNS settings, to verify that you can get to your DNS
server. And, check your browser settings to verify that you
aren't tripping over a Security or Content setting.
