Links to Excel File not working

I have been using the 'Get External Data' feature in Access 2003 for quite
some time to link to an Excel spreadsheet, and the link has always updated
fine. I had a new install of Access 2003 on my PC done and now my links
won't update. Is there an plug-in that could be missing?

No; Microsoft lost a lawsuit last year and was required to (or chose to)
remove the capability for Access to update linked Excel spreadsheets. The
change was made in a (required) service pack, and implemented in any version
of Access you can now buy.
