Links on Toolbar can't be edited/changed!!??

I cannot seem to effect a permanent change on the LINKS portion of the
toolbar. I can edit LINKS in FAVORITES (on the left) just fine,
however it doesn't seem to change what is displayed in the toolbar at
the top.
What is the CORRECT way to edit and permanently save the items shown
on the LINKS toolbar?

I have found that there is a limit to the number of links that can be stored in the customizatle Links toolbar, something like 7 or 9. If you are trying to add alot, that might be the reason for your problem. If there are some on the toolbar you don't want, they can be deleted, opening up some slots for the ones that are really wanted.
