Links on taskbar

Until recently, when I turned on my computer (Windows XP Home) the word
"Links" appeared on the task bar immediately to the left of the system tray.
A single click on this displayed a list of a few selected web sites (which I
had previously dragged there) and clicking on any of them opened my default
web browser at the relevant page. These sites were not necessarily the same
as the ones I kept on the normal links bar next to the address bar in the web
browser.
The word "Links" has disappeared from the task bar - how can I get it back?

Tried right-clicking an open area of the taskbar, and clicking on the word
LINK?
