Links not being saved in History Folder

I was just wondering if anyone can help with a recent problem I'm having with
pages not being saved in my history folder? It just started a few days ago.
I noticed that when I click a link, it won't change color to show that I
prev. visited that page. When I checked the hist. folder....nothing for the
past few days has been saved but the old pages are still stored. I'm not sure
if this has anything to do with McAffee or not? Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

In IE : Tools > Delete browsing history... I deleted the tTemporary Internet
files and History.
