Links don't appear on web site

Some of the important links on my website no longer appear. They are fine
when viewed in the Front Page program, but when the site is opened in aol or
explorer, they aren't visible, replaced by blank boxes with Xs. Also, one of
the pages now takes much longer to open. The provider has informed me it is a
problem on my end. Any help is appreciated. The site is
www.telephonymuseum.com. Thanks

Your phones for sale buttons (the glowing ones) are Java hover buttons, they
need JVM installed on the viewers computer for them to be seen. Dont use
them.

Some of your files have spaces in names (the will appear as %20) the Phones
& Stuff for Sale .htm page is like that too...also avoid capitalization and
special characters as well.

Thanks for the great help, already changing the hover buttons. I'm not able
to get into the page you have referenced so I can change, however. Any
thoughts as to what the concern is? Again, thanks.

It took 1 minute to load the 1900-1950 Phones for Sale page, with a
5MB cable connection, I hate to think how long it would take on
dialup. You have about 30 seconds or so load time to keep and hold a
visitor.

The page is 16mb in size. (right click on the page, select
"properties"). By contrast, the home page is 13.6kb

The 6 small images at the top of the page are small in physical size,
but rather large in file size.

79x73 pix = 200kb

Resize/resample photos in an imaging program, don't just "resize" them
by dragging the image box in FP, this does not change the file size.

On the same page you have 9 large images. You might also consider
using thumbnails then link to the full size image.

I didn't see any "blank boxes with X's", but the hover buttons do not
work except to change colors.

(I see you have changed the hover buttons, now the text links work)

Thanks for the information. Now the problem is I am unable to access the web
page; it won't open in Front Page. What are my options to get in there and
fix it? Thank you.

to replace the spaces in your file names look here:
www.jimcosoftware.com and specifically for "space replacer".
Makes it much easier than digging around and doing it manually.
