Links between Access 2000 and 97

I have the master database in Access 2000. It's linked to
a database of same name in Access 97. These are on a
server but in separate folders under a main folder
setting. I've removed relationships in Access 2000 mdb
file. Whenever I try to delete the link as directed in
Access 2000 Help, it deletes the actual table, even though
it says it deletes the link only. I've checked the Link
Table Manager - it shows links still with the 97 versions
as expected but I can't do anything there but "update".
How do I delete the link only from the 2000 version to the
97 version tables? Thanks.

Celeste,

Just guessing here, but I suspect the source of your problems is the fact
that you are linking two databases with the same name; change the name of
one of them.
