i want to network 2 pc's at home together, i have them
linked with a crossover ethernet cable. both machines
have the network icon which says they are linked. when i
enable the internet sharing on the xp machine (which has
the broadband connex) the Win2k machine can't get on the
net or view the XP's files. Eventually even the xp
machine cant get on the net. I want both machines to
share files, printers and the net connex, but i end up
with nothing. Where am I going wrong, please can someone
tell me in simple terms, line by line what i need to do.

Thanks

Chris-

Did you try running the home network wizard provided in the XP OS? You have
ICS (internet connection sharing) setup?

Thanks
Richard
