Linking two fields

Two Fields in a table:
Date Closed
Status

I want “Status†to show open when a date has not been entered in “Date
Closed†and closed once a date is entered. Any help welcome!
 
You don't do that in the table. That is redundant. You then have two
fields that convey the same information.

How to do this in a query, form, or report has already been addressed in
your previous post. If you have an issue with that response, please post it
in that thread, not a new one.

The data you request does not belong in the table.
