Linking to secured database

Hi,

I'm trying to link tables from a new mdb database to a
secured MDE database, but I don't even get a prompt to
type in a password. I just get an error message saying I
don't have permission to use the secured db. Can someone
tell me how I can get to this database? Thanks in
advance to anyone who replies
