Hi.

Is there a way to link an excel worksheet to an Access
query? I know how to export to Excel, but I would like to
have a dynamic "link".
Thanks,
Mike.

Hi Mike
have a look at
'Data - Import External Data - Imort Data'.

open an access database. go to File/Import Data/Link
Tables. follow the prompts.

From Access

File>>Get External Data>>Link Table

Choose Excel as your file type, and navigate to the folder that contains the file. Select it and work through the wezard steps

The caveat here is that your Excel Worksheet works best as an Access table when Row 1 is used for Column headers, and the information begins in Column A. If your worksheet contains more information than just data and column headers, you need to highlight the rows and columns that contain the information you want and name it as a range. Access Gives you the ability to link to either entire worksheets or to named ranges. Of course, if you link to a named range, and then you add data outside that range (like a few extra rows at the bottom) then the new data will not be included in the linked data
