Linking Presentations

J

James

Hi,

I have 20 presentations that I need to link together. This relates to a
course delivered in different ways - over 20 evenings OR over a period of 5
days.

I've been trying to create a "menu" page in a new presentation (I'll call it
"starter" for now) ... with hyperlinks to the other presentations (e.g.
"pres01", "pres02" etc). The aim is for "starter" to have something I click
on that calls "pres01" or "pres02", and at the end it reverts back to
"starter". The best way to fully describe what I really want is for each
presentation ... "pres01" etc to appear as a custom show would with seamless
links.

I have got to the point where I can use hyperlink to go to "pres01" etc -
but I haven't managed to come back again ... all it does it loop within
"pres01". Is there an easy way to achieve my aim?

The presentation do have a common "feel" and the same background but putting
them all into one ppt would make an enormous file.

Regards, James

Yes ... in addition to Geetesh's suggestion of just hitting ESC to close pres01
and return to your menu presentation, you can apply an End Show action setting
to any button or other shape in pres01. This will close it but leave any other
presentations open (ie, your menu show).

James,
It sounds like you could get some benefit from a class by Robert Lane of
Aspire Communications. The class, "Relational Presentations", provides
information on new ways to connect up PPT presentations for greater
flexibility. You can find information by either emailing me (unknot my
address), or checking out Robert's site at:
