Linking from a pivot table

I have a problem with Excel XP. Under Excel 2000 I would
be able to link a Pivot Tables contents to another
worksheet using the "=" and clicking in the cell within
the pivot table, then using F4 to get rid of the "$" then
enter. I would then use the autofill button to drag over
the number of coulums I needed to fill, then autofill down
to the bottom of the sheet for the number of rows in the
pivot table that I needed. It would automatically change
each cell designation to the corresponding cell of the
pivot table. Now with XP, it doesn't work. When you use
the same method of linking, the cell reference for the
pivot table is wrong (I.E. it says B3 intsead of F5), and
when you autofill, the row reference does not change. It
will work if I link each individual cell, but with upwards
of 9 columns and 89 rows with about 7 pivot tables, that
is too much linking. Anyone have a workaround? I have
found that if I copy/past/special/values to the side of
the pivot table then link that series of data, it links
like it used to. Just doesn't work out of the pivot
table. Kinda frustrating.

Are you getting links that contain the GETPIVOTDATA function?

You can choose Tools>Customize, and from the Data category on the
Commands tab, add the Generate GetPivotData command to one of your
toolbars. Use this button to toggle the feature on and off.

Or, you can type an equal sign, and type the cell reference, instead of
clicking on the cell to reference it.
