linking fields

Hi

I am trying to link two fields. I want to enter a customer's name and have
the account manager assigned to that customer to populate the employee field
automatically. How do I do this?

We aren't there. We don't know what you're working with (it all starts with
the data).

We don't know where "there" is ... are you trying to do this in a form or a
query or ...?

And a moment's reflection ... if you already have a customer and an assigned
account manager connected, why do you need to "populate the employee field"
at all?
