Is it possible to link a range of excel cells on one
computer to a range of excel cells on another computer on
the network?

How is that done?

Hi Paul

if you can access both workbooks from your computer then you can link to the
other workbook.

Open both workbooks - choose window / arrange (now you should be able to
see both workbooks on the screen at the same time)
click in the destination cell and type a
=
click in the source cell and press enter
the value of the source cell should appear in the destination cell with a
link between.

Repeat for all cells.

Hope this helps

Thanks JulieD,

is the link possible when the two files are running on
their separate computers - not on the same computer?

Hi Paul

there needs to be some sort of "connection" between the two computers (ie a
network) with appropriate access permissions set. If the two computers are
not on the same network then it is not possible for them to be connected -
they don't need to be stored on the same computer they just have to both be
accessible to your computer.

hope this helps
Cheers
