Linking cell's formatting withing file

First, thank you in advance for any recommendations.

My company uses different colors for different
identifying characteristics in an Excel file. I would
like to create a summary page that changes not only the
data but also the color on the summary sheet whenever the
source cell is modified.

Is this possible?

Formatting is not linked along with the data.

Perhaps you could use Conditional Formatting on the cells in the Summary
sheet?
