Linking Access to SQL tables: Error: Too many indexes on tables

I am receiving an error when trying to link Access 2003 SP-1 to SQL 2000.
Error: Delete some of the indexes on the table and try the operation again.
The SQL table has 37 indexes and we do not have control or permission to
change these as they are utilized by another program. Is there a way around
this?
