Linking access to an Accounting package

I have a client who wants a database developed in access but wants
accounting functions in another software package. Can anyone suggest an
accounting package that is easy to link access into. I have heard that it is
difficult and time consuming to link access to MYOB. Is it easier to link to
Quickbooks or are there other more suitable accounting packages to link to?

Quickbooks has an SDK available which can be used:

MS also has an accounting package: Small Business Accounting (see their website for details). It's based on SQL Server,
thus I'd assume you could link to it from Access.

From what I've seen of Quickbooks it is really ugly to integrate with.
But YMMV

grow some balls.. MDB based databases are obsolete.
