I have added a new field to my SQL table. I need to update the Access
database to reflect this change. When I use Tool/Database utilities/ Linked
table manager. notheing happens.

I've done this thousands of time and never had this problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you've changed the structure of the backend table, I'd suggest deleting the
link from the frontend and using File... Get External Data... Link to relink
to the changed table. I think the Linked Table Manager just checks to see if
there IS a link, and doesn't necessarily update the table information.

I've seen it work both ways, John. Sometimes a LinkedTableManager refresh
picks up the new fields and definitions, and sometimes I've had to just drop
the old link and re-create it.

Yep. For me, the latter has been frequent enough that I now routinely drop and
relink rather than possibly wasting time with the relinker.
