linked tables and referential integrity

Greetings,

I am relatively new to using access and wondered if you can point me in the right direction with regards to linking tables and maintaining referential integrity.

Any particular things I should and should not do when linking tables in order to ensure RI?

What is the best way to check that referential integrity has been maintained post linkage?

Are there any particularly good resources that you may like to suggest?
