Linked table to a Excel file

I have a linked table to an Excel workbook that I cant make any changes to
the structure, like adding an ID field to the table. How can I make an Access
table out of this without losing any future changes made to the linked table?

You can't.

Take your pick - store the data in Excel, and make any needed changes in
Excel; or store the data in Access, divorced from Excel.

You can't have it both ways, unfortunately!
