Linked table manager - No tables Access 2003

CPK

I have both Access 97 and Access 2003 installed.

Many times in Access 2003 the Linked table manager comes up empty.

I searched the web and found 2 articles with the same solution.

Solution was to re-register ACCWIZ.DLL

regsvr32.exe "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\ACCWIZ.DLL"

When I do this it says it was successful but the tables still do not appear.

On one forum where I found this solution, another user had same problem
where re-registering did not help.

Any suggestions in addition to the re-reg?

thanks.

Also,

the MS KB article (Article ID : 835519) discusses the problem but gives only
the same solution.

It suggests to make sure the registry is pointed to the correct ACCWIZ.DLL,
but it does not list the registry value or what to do with it.

This was posted by someone from Microsoft in the past.
Maybe it might help:
I seen this issue when re-registering Accwiz.dll does not work you will
need to manually change the below registry key and make sure it's pointing
to the correct file

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\ACCWIZ.DLL

HKey_Classes_Root\TypeLib\{5B87B6F0-17C8-11D0-AD41-00A0C90DC8D9}\8.0\0\win32
\(Default)

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
