Linked image flashes but won't stay

I've created a spreadsheet to track photos used in advertisements I create
and I made the cell with the image title link to the actual image file on my
hard drive.

When I click the cell, it opens Photoshop as it should and even opens the
photo file...but then it immediately closes the image file It simply
opens for a flash and then it's gone.

Does anyone have any insight for me on this? They link is accurate and
works, but it won't *stay* open - so strange!

First try to narrow down exactly where the trouble is. It could be in
Excel, PhotoShop, Windows, or your computer......if possible, take the file
and a couple of sample images to another computer, preferably one that is
more powerful than yours, and try it there.......also, see if you can open
one of the images by just double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer, with
Excel closed.....then with Excel open try the same thing....to help
determine if your computer is being overloaded......once you have a few more
data-points it may help point the way to the trouble....
