I have created a Powerpoint file with pictures of different artwork (each
item on a separate page) together with certain data associated with it; there
could be 4 or 5 photos for each piece. On each slide, I have linked (through
copy, paste special, link) certain other information including the
acquisition date, the cost, the last appraisal date, the appraisal amount,
the unrealized gain (calculated), etc.
In my ideal world, I would like to be able to print or present by slides
with or without this linked information. For example, I may wish to see the
linked information if I am discussing the value with my "mover" but if I am
sharing a certain type of art photos and information with a friend, I may not
care to share the dates or dollars and cents. I believe Powerpoint is my
best bet but am getting hung up on the presentation limitations - probably I
am just missing something obvious.
I have tried Access but it is not intended for large files including many
pictures, I have tried Word to accomplish this task but the math is so weak,
I have tried Excel but I cannot seem to lock a photo to a cell and frankly
one photo is not ample. Does anyone have any suggestions how I might go this
next step using Powerpoint?
