Linked .bmp weirdness

I've used Access 2002 to create a workorder system for our engraving shop,
and it's been working fine for about a year. We use our digital camera to
take a pic of each finished job, and I convert the image to .bmp and link it
to our workorder table. The image is then visible in the main workorder form
and in printed reports.

Starting just the other day, when new .bmps are linked, they appear in
uselessly low-res (like an icon) in both the form and the printed report.
Images entered last week or last month appear normal. The property box shows
"content" not "icon" so I'm stumped.

What are you using to display the image? If you are using OLE Objects and
Bound OLE Frames, the problem may lie in whatever image processing software
is registered to process .BMP. I'd be especially suspicious if any image
processing software has been recently installed or uninstalled.

Afterthought: You might be able to do some testing using the example code
downloadable from http://accdevel.tripod.com; which illustrates three
approaches to handling images.
