Link within Document

HELP!

How do I "link" to another place in a document? I have a document with
many, many statements like "see Dementia in Adults", see "Falls in Adults,
etc Then later in the document there will be a heading called "Dementia in
Adults" or Falls in Adults" etc. When I am at "see Dementia in Adults," how
do I click on a "link" to go to that heading? Neither bookmarks or
cross-reference seems quite right, but I'm also totally unfamiliar with them.


For example: In Dreamweaver, if you want to go to another place in a
document, you insert an anchor and name it (e.g., top). Then where you click
you would put in #top and it would take you there whenever you click on the
link.

You must first bookmark the places you want to go to (Insert | Bookmark). If
these are headings (using the built-in heading styles) or numbered items,
they are already bookmarked. Then use Insert | Reference | Cross-reference
to (Heading/Numbered Item/Bookmark), selecting "Bookmark text" or other
appropriate selection to get the text in question and checking the box for
"Insert as hyperlink." You could also create a freestanding hyperlink
(Insert | Hyperlink) but then you'd have to type in your display text.
