Good day,

I am using Excel 2002 and I have many workbooks that
contain links to each other. Every time that I open a
workbook I get a reminder to update the links to other
data sources.

In all cases for me, the answer will always be update. Is
there a way to bypass this reminder?

Thanks, Danno...

When you have your linked spreadsheet open, go to Edit, Links. On thi
menu you have a button on the left side called "Startup Prompt". Selec
the option "Dont Display the alert and update links

Good day Portuga,

Thank you for the quick response and the solution.

Portuga's answer will work nicely for that specific workbook--or as many as you
set it for.

If you want to just make that your default (for all workbooks), you can:
tools|Options|Edit Tab
Uncheck "Ask to update automatic links"

The links will be refreshed, but you won't be prompted.
