I created a html page with the links to serval MS office files of excel, word
and powerpoint. While click the link to access the files, the files are
opened inside the IE browser. How can I modify the link to open the excel
files by MS Excel, the word files by MS Word and not to open them inside IE ?

You can't control that except on an intranet
- where each users settings would have to be changed per:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=162059

On an internet link it is the users default settings that will always open it in the browser if they have MSO installed
- they can be informed to right click and save as
- or put the MSO files in a zip file to force a save
