Thanks to this group for previous invaluable help, I have a workbook
with bowls club weekly scores in 1 S/S :

A B C D E F

1 Name 1/1/04 5/1/04 15/1/04 num.wins
2 Bell 12 20 0 0
3 Rook 15 18 22 1
4 Pole. S 8 9 15 0
5 Wilson 20 12 10 0
6 White 11 6 9 0
7 Shorn 25 22 12 2
8 James 9 0 21 0

On another S/S I have the highest accumulative scores from the above
S/S, using following formula: (for illustration)....ignor the cell
ref's.though.
=INDEX(Main!$A$4:$A$56,MATCH(D4,Main!$BD$4:$BD$56,0))

(Accumulative results as follows):...incl. my wish....... COL. 'F'

A B C D E F
ACCUM
1 POS. NAME SCORE PLAYED
2 1st Bell 696 38
3 2nd Rook 659 39 (1)
4 3rd Pole. S 575 37
5 4th Wilson 503 30
6 5th White 479 35
7 6th Shorn 479 34 (2)
8 7th James 450 29

What I am unable to do is LINK the "NUM. WON" in the first sheet
sample, to the "F" Col. in this 2nd Sheet.
In the above examples...Rook would show 1, and Shorn would show 2.
These scores change weekly, hence positions alter.

TIA

Hi
try something like the following on your second sheet:
=INDEX('sheet1'!$F$1:$F$10,MATCH(C1,'sheet1'!$B$1:$B$10,0))
