Link excel table

Hello,
I'm using access 2003, I'm linking some excel files using Link Table option,
but when I open the table in access is read only and I cannot update any
record or add new ones.
I need to update some records in access, but I cannot change the properties
it seems like is read only and I dont know how to change to read/write. Any
help is appreciated

Unfortunately, you can't change this. As the result of a legal ruling,
Microsoft were forced to disable the feature that allowed read/write links
to Excel. See the KB article at the following URL ...
