My visited link color has recently stopped working, that
is, I now don't know where I've visited....a bit daunting,
especially when trawling on Ebay. I've checked in internet
options and the visited color is set to brown and
unvisited blue but links still refuse to change color when
visited. Would appreciate any help.

Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet Files
(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.

The index.dat file in that folder may also be corrupt.

links color is controlled by the cookies. delete the
cookies and color changes to default. i keep my temp
files at 2mb for faster system.
