Happy Wednesday,

I insert a lot of lines in my documents. I used to be able to press "-"
(minus sign) three times and then Enter on the numerical keypad and a line
would be inserted.

For some reason, this no longer works.

I have Office 2007 on XP. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Thank you so much.

There's an option to control it, and I suppose that option has somehow
gotten turned off.

Go to Office button > Word Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options. Click
the AutoFormat As You Type tab of the dialog, and check the option for
"Border lines".

See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CantGetRidOfLine.htm for more
info.

Thanks so much, Jay. That was the solution. I really missed that feature.
Best,
