Lines in line chart are too short.

I am using Windows XP and Powerpoint 2003.

When creating a line chart with dates for X axis and values for the Y axis,
the line does not begin at the Y axis, nor does it end at the maximum X
value.

The unit of measure for the X axis is months. The range for the X axis is
July 1, 2005 through Sept 30, 2006. Why does my line begin in the middle of
July rather than July 1? Why does it end in the middle of september rather
than September 30? Is there a way to make the line extend to the outer
limits of the X axis?

What settings have you specified for the X axis? Double-click it and see
what it says on the Scale tab.
