After composing a message in OE6 then editing it, the line wraps don't
display correctly. They are generally transmitted OK when sending the email
(or news message) but they don't appear correctly in the OE composition
window. Some lines are very short even though they aren't terminated with a
carriage return - they're just wrapped incorrectly in the display. It is
difficult to determine where the true carriage returns are in the message,
so it's awkward to edit.
I'm talking about plain text messages, not html.
I have assumed for a long time that this a probably a problem (bug) built
into OE6, but I'm not sure. Does everyone else have the same problem, or is
something wrong with my computer?
I'd like to clarify this because I'm also seeing a line wrap problem in some
IE6 text composition windows in webforms. It might relate to the OE6 line
wrap problem mentioned above, or it might not. I don't know. In any case
IE6/OE6 don't seem to be very good about handling virtual line wraps
correctly, at least on my computer.
