I have a mysterious line at the top of my endnotes page(s) in Word. How do I
remove it? I can't highlight it--it appears to be some sort of formatting
feature.

It is the Endnotes Continuation Separator. In Normal view, choose View |
Footnotes and select Endnotes. On the toolbar in the endnote pane, choose
Endnote Continuation Separator from the dropdown list. Select the separator
and delete it. You may also want to format the paragraph to 1 pt font size
and/or 1 pt line height.
