How do I limit what gets published to my web site by FP 2000?
When I clicked on that icon, everything in the My Webs folder was uploaded.
I only intended to upload from the folder I was currently working in. I have
several folders in My Webs, of different versions of my web - some
unfinished, some old.

If you separate each web into its own folder, and then open only that web,
you will not have a problem
e.g.
My Webs
myweb
images
thumbnails
scripts
........
myweb-ver1
images
thumbnails
scripts
........
myweb-ver2
images
thumbnails
scripts
........

A little discpline is needed to copy the different versions as they are
updated, but it keep things a lot safer.

You can in fact also restrict what is published within the one web.
The standard FP Publish allows files to be marked "Don't Publish".
You can also use Jimco's Selective Publish (http://www.jimcosoftware.com/)
to mark whole folders in one hit.

To open a specific web quickly, you can set up a shortcut and put this in
the target
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\FRONTPG.EXE" "%USERPROFILE%\my
documents\My Webs\myweb\index.html"
(In this case "myweb" is the web opened.)

I'm pretty sure that's how my files were. When I thought I was only going to
be publishing the page I changed, all of my pages were uploaded. Then I got
to spend 15 minutes deleting them from the web-site.

You can use the "selective publish" pluggin from www.jimcosoftware.com or if
you right click in the "local" list and select the option "do not publish" -
it won't.

Or, if you choose under the "publish" options to only publish changed files,
it will only publish changed (or new) files.

Each of the myweb folders (separate webs) needs to be a subweb
- right click the top level folders under you root web and select convert to web

Make sure that each individual web *is* a website in its own right.
The folder holder the web should have a globe on it. - if there is no
globe, the folder is just a folder in the parent web site.
