Limited or No Connectivity

Hello everyone. As I've been reading, too much users have problems with
internet conecction with SP2.
I have:
Windows XP PRO SP2
Modem ADSL - Ethernet Card
Connection through PPoE

When windows starts, the Network Icon says " Limited or none Connectivity".
And internet connection seem to be well sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't
work. It never disconnects, usually the problem is that she doesn't respond
for a long time.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance, I would really apreciate any suggestion.

The "Limited or No Connectivity" message probably doesn't mean that
anything's wrong.

In a typical DSL setup with PPPoE, there are two network connections:

1. The PPPoE connection, which gets an IP address from your DSL
provider.

2. The local area network connection (Ethernet card) that physically
connects to the DSL modem.

The LAN connection doesn't receive (or require) an IP address, so SP2
displays the "Limited or No Connectivity" message. You can eliminate
the message in either of these ways:

1. Assign a private static IP address, such as 10.0.0.1, to the LAN
connection, or:

2. Disable the message by un-checking the box "Notify me when this
connection has limited or no connectivity" in the LAN connection's
properties.
