Hi,
My 9 year old son would like to make Flash movies. His characters are
Stick people...
I don't have Flash but was wondering if anyone knows of a freeware that
is similar to it?
If he shows more enthusiasm - I would buy him Flash...
Thanks in advance!

Pivot might be fun - stick figure animated GIFs (I haven't tried it).

Program: Pivot
Author: Peter Bone
Ware: Freeware

Pivot makes it easy to create stick-figure animations. You can build your own stick figures and load
your own backgrounds. The animations can be saved as animated gifs to be used on web pages.

Download the most recent version of Pivot Stickfigure Animator
Pivot version 2.2.5 (485 KB)

Sqirlz Morph

http://www.xiberpix.com/SqirlzMorph.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macromedia_Shockwave
http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/
Allows you to morph two, three or more images together, and save your
animation as a Flash movie, AVI video clip, or bitmap/jpeg file. As
with other morphing tools, you place special control points over
important features on each of the images, and the program then distorts
each image so that the chosen features are matched. The entire process
can be displayed and saved as animation in AVI or Flash (.swf) format.
For best results you need to use the right pictures and some patience.
For Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.

Flash Builder

http://www.webgrid.co.uk/webmastr_4.html
Flash Builder is a utility for Windows operating systems to create
stand-alone executables from SWF Flash Macromedia files.
What does this mean? Flash Builder generates .EXE or .SCR files
embedding the movie, that runs without the need of a Flash player. It
lets you add features to your windows that the Flash Player provided by
Macromedia does not have. Very much alike another few products around
but, Flash Builder is FREEWARE.

Guys, you are the greatest!
Thank you so much! I have enough to see how my kid would like it.
All the best to everyone!
