Lifecam and internet problem

When I put the CD in the drive and start it, the software says that I do not
have an internet connection. I use Comcast broadband and I have checked the
connection before I run the software and it is good. I am running Windows XP
media center edition. Any suggestions on how I can get the CD to "see" that I
have an internet connection?
